If you are here it is because you either enjoy yard sales or you are planning one. You are part of a community who shares an interest in yard sales, and this is a grassroots effort to change how yard sales are advertised and found. If your expectation is that you are going to be able to download this app and start to enjoy all the benefits of it today, you’re going to be mostly disappointed, but please read on, it gets better. This app works a little differently than the others. They gather information from other sources and put it in one place for you. This often leads to outdated sales, incomplete or wrong addresses, and other problems. This app requires sellers to post their sale, similar to how the MLS system works. That gives us more control to make sure information is accurate and up to date.

That’s the easy part. The only way this system works is with this community’s work and dedication to improving the current system for everyone. Imagine listing your sale in minutes, in front of thousands of people nearby who are specifically looking for sales like yours. Imagine sitting at home, browsing every sale in your area in one place — real photos, real descriptions — picking the ones worth your time, then tapping one button to get real, turn-by-turn directions guiding you to every stop — no planning, no typing addresses, just go. With just a little effort and some friendly conversations, it is very possible.

BUYERS: When you download this app and open it, you’re going to fill out a few pages and end up at a map of your area. It is most likely going to be empty, where a whole bunch of pins showing current sales should be. Don’t worry, the app is still valuable for you. There is a button at the top that says “Add Sale Manually” — tap that and start typing the address of a sale that you have found in one of your usual spots. The autocomplete feature will fill in the address as you’re typing, and when you’re finished, tap “Add to Route.” You can do this with as many sales as you wish. After that, the sale will show up as a pin on the map. When you’re done adding and selecting sales that may already be on the map, tap “Navigate,” and you will end up at a map with turn-by-turn navigation following the most efficient route to your sales.

Now for the most important part. When you get to each of your sales, go up to the seller, introduce yourself, and tell them about Treasure Finder USA. Let them know they can list their sale in minutes and help their sale and their community. It’s a great way to socialize and help bring value to the app.

SELLERS: When you list your sale, if you are one of the first 500 people in your state to do so, it is free of charge. We do ask that you take the time to display some of our free-to-print flyers and also talk to the buyers and let them know about Treasure Finder USA. This will also help bring value to the app and help out this community.
